New Adsense Video Ads
I just noticed Google has a new Adsense format. This is a great new addition and I think that it is about time. With ISP’s providing high connection speeds and limits, this form of media shouldn’t pose any problems. The nice thing that I like about this advert style is that you can choose whether to watch it or not!
The only issue at this stage for Google is that their video advertisements reserves are low and therefore you may not see a video ad for a little while…
Just testing…

I think this will be a more affective form of ads as people prefer to watch a catchy advert rather than read. The trick will be to have a the initial frame that you see as eye-catching as possible!

Are you paid more for a click on this sort of ad. I would agree with you that people are more likely to be captured by the vision and it could also cut down on invalid clicks, so I think users should be paid more for these sorts of clicks.
I have noticed on one of my sites that if you mouseover certain image ads (ringtone for example) a short music loop is triggered. Thats not a new ad type though, its been around for a while.

My guess is that it will work the same way as text ads… they will start off low. I am sure that the bids will go higher than text ads and hopefully the return is higher for the advertiser.
